Weight reduction, while maintaining high performance chassis parts, is one of the major challenges of tomorrow's mobility. Indeed, reducing the weight of the vehicle is a key lever on the one hand to reduce the CO2 emissions of combustion engine vehicles covered by the new environmental standards, and on the other hand to increase the range of hybrid and electric vehicles.
Setforge, a subsidiary of Farinia Group, is able to produce high complexity steel and aluminum frame parts for various applications. In addition to production, our service company Setforge Engineering is able to support the R&D departments of our customers in order to improve the design of components to optimize their weight / performance ratio and improve their forgeability.
In constant search for innovation, Setforge has also developed a unique process for forging carbon fibers, the EPITHER process allowing hitherto unmatched weight savings for structural parts. A disruptive technology, chassis parts are one of its fields of application.
